At least 7 injured as gunman opens fire in Houston mall; suspect neutralised

On 26 September, at least seven people were injured as a shooter opened fire outside a mall in Houston, Texas.

Reports suggest that the shooter has been neutralised and the situation has been brought under control.

Houston Police took to Twitter to confirm that "several people" had sustained injuries after being shot at by a single suspect. The severity of these injuries has not been ascertained yet.

Police also confirmed that the shooter has been shot down by an officer.
