Russians develop a chip for early detection of fatal diseases

Can we finally the war against the emperor of all maladies? Now, thanks to the scientists in Moscow, we can. Researchers at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) have developed a highly sensitive sensor that can detect fatal diseases and viruses like HIV, Hepatitis and cancerous tumours. The sensor is a compact optical chip which will enable chemical analysis of human physiology with lesser errors. The chip can detect viral disease markers that threaten the immune system. Researchers hope that this methodology will pave the way for a new generation in the field of diagnostics.
