US election 2016: Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama make first joint campaign appearance to win women votes

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Thursday appeared with the United States first lady Michelle Obama for the first time in a campaign at a North Carolina rally. Both the leaders urged young voters and women to vote in the upcoming election.

Addressing the huge gathering, Clinton raised her voice for women dignity and also expressed gratitude towards first lady 'for her eloquent, powerful defense of that basic value.'

"I wish I didn't have to say this. ... But indeed, dignity and respect for women and girls is also on the ballot in this election. And I want to thank our first lady for her eloquent, powerful defense of that basic value," Clinton said.

Obama, during the rally, launched a sharp attack on Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and said, "We want a president who takes this job seriously, and has the temperament and maturity to do it well. Someone who is steady. Someone who we can trust with the nuclear codes. I would not be here lying to you: I believe with all of my heart that Hillary Clinton will be that president."

Trump's campaign got severely hit a few weeks ago when he was heard boasting about sexual assault in some leaked video. After this, at least ten women have alleged that Trump had molested them in past. The republican candidate has rubbished all the allegations.

Trump, who is desperately trying to give a new life to his electoral campaign, once again labelled the Clintons (Bill and Hillary) as corrupts.

"The more emails WikiLeaks releases, the more the lines between the Clinton Foundation, the secretary of state's office, and the Clintons' personal finances are blurred," Trump told his supporters in Ohio.

"Mr. Band called the arrangement 'unorthodox'. The rest of us call it outright corrupt," he added.
