Sweden football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced that he will retire from international football after the ongoing European Championship in Paris.

The 34-year-old, who is the all-time record national scorer with 62 goals, stated that the last game with Sweden in the Euro 2016 will be his last game at the international level, Sport24 reported.

Sweden face a must-win situation against Belgium on 22 June as they need to beat the latter in order to stand a chance of reaching the last-16 stage of the competition.

The former Paris-Saint Germain striker remarked that he would call curtains on his international career with his head held high irrespective of Wednesday's result.

He also ruled out any chance of playing at the Rio Olympics, which starts from August 5.
