UEFA Euro 2016: Watch Cristiano Ronaldo send a reporter's microphone for a swim in a lake

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who is having a dismal run in the Euro 2016 after missing his penalty against Austria and his controversial "small mentality" comment about Iceland, has been caught in yet another fiasco.

Ronaldo, while walking out of the hotel in Lyon, threw a CMTV reporter's microphone in the lake when the reporter asked him if he was ready for the game against Hungary, The Guardian reported.

So far in the tournament, Portugal are yet to open their win account and have to beat Hungary to book their berth in the round of 16.

Commenting on Ronaldo's state of mind, coach Fernando Santos was quoted by The Guardian as saying, "The day after the first game you said Cristiano was all smiles. After the first match your stories were that Cristiano was all smiles and now it is that he's not smiling. I am sure he will get over everything and do what he does best. He's always proved that what he does best is score and I'm sure he will do everything to be anxiety free to score."

Santos further added, "He will carry on taking free-kicks and penalties. We have someone who is the standard-bearer for our country, and we do love him. The Portuguese love Cristiano."
