UEFA Euro 2016: Did Gerard Pique's 'rude' gesture steal the show?

Barcelona and Spain centre-back Gerard Pique was accused of showing his middle finger to the camera when Spain's national anthem was being sung during the game against Croatia at Stade de Bordeaux stadium on 21 June.

Vicente Del Bosque's side slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Croatia to finish second in Group D.

Even though everybody is speaking about Spain's loss to Croatia, Pique's unwanted incident during the anthem garnered more attention. He was accused of showing his middle finger to the cameraman as his team-mates lined up for the national anthem.

After the game ended, Pique claimed that critics are simply looking for controversy, goal.com reported.

"I'm cracking my knuckles during the anthem," he posted on Twitter.

"Let's stop looking for controversy where there isn't any and try to win these Euros together."
