US Open 2015: Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis advance into semis

Women's doubles World no 1 Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis advanced to the semi-final of the US Open on Tuesday, 8 September, after a win in straight sets over ninth seeds Hao-Ching Chan and Yung-Jan Chan in the women's doubles quarter-finals at Flushing Meadows.
The top seeded Indo-Swiss pair claimed a 7-6(5), 6-1 win over their opponents, in a match that lasted for an hour and 25 minutes, to stay on course for a second consecutive Grand Slam title, having triumphed at Wimbledon in July.
Sania and Martina will next face the Italian pair of Sara Errani and Flavia Pennetta on Wednesday, 9 September, for a place in the semi-final.
