Serena Williams clinches Wimbledon title, beats Angelique Kerber 7-5 6-3

World number one Serena Williams wins the women's singles Wimbledon title, equalling Steffi Graff's Open era record of 22 Grand Slam titles.

Williams avenged her defeat at the hands of Angelique Kerber at the Australian Open final in January, and went on to beat her by 7-5, 6-3 in the match that lasted 45 minutes.

Had Kerber won the final, she would have become the first German woman to clinch the Wimbledon title, since Steffi Graph in 1996.

Andy Murray and Milos Raonic are set to come out onto Centre Court in the battle for the men's singles Wimbledon title for the year on 10 July.
