NDTV's 'The Buck Stops Here' nominated for an Emmy Award

Leading English channel NDTV's primetime news show, The Buck Stops Here, has become the first Indian show to be nominated for the an Emmy award. The show has been nominated under the News category for its coverage of the Kashmir Floods last year.

The show was reported and presented by Barkha Dutt, Consulting Editor at NDTV. It focused on the volunteers' and the Army's efforts to rescue flood-victims in Srinagar during one of the worst natural calamities to hit the region. The show was reported from ground-zero, where the crew had travelled to inaccessible areas on boats.

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced 8 nominees under the Current Affairs and News categories. The winners will be announced on 27 September.
