Devoleena Bhattacharjee aka Gopi Bahu of Saath Nibhana Sathiya detained after diamond trader found dead in forest
Mumbai Police arrested a former aide of Maharashtra minister and a policeman among those who were arrested in connection with the murder of a diamond trader who was found dead in a forest in Maharashtra, two days ago. A popular actress and model has also been detained regarding the same.
Rajeshwar Udani, a diamond merchant based in Mumbai's Ghatkopar, had gone missing on November 28. The 57-year-old's decomposed body was found in a forest in Panvel in Raigad district on Friday, 10 days after he went missing, the police said.
The police in the initial enquiry identified the accused as Sachin Pawar - former personal assistant of Maharashtra minister Prakash Mehta, while another accused is Dinesh Pawar a suspended police constable who was arrested earlier in a rape case.
Now reports are that television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee who was rose to fame with her role of Gopi Bahu in "Saath Nibhana Sathiya" was also detained after several hours of questioning. However, the police has not revealed her role in the case yet but hinted some more women from the entertainment industry may be called for the questioning.
Till now Police have questioned two dozen persons and currently, they are on the lookout for the vehicle they picked up the merchant on the night he went missing.
