Bad News! Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Kavi Kumar Azad aka Dr. Hansraj Hathi passes away; details inside
Bad news for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans as the popular actor Kavi Kumar Azad better known as its character Dr Hansraj Hathi had breath his last at a Mumbai hospital, claims reports. According to Spotboye.com, the actor has been unwell for past three days and was admitted to Wockhardt Hospital at Mira Road, Mumbai. Mr Azad passed away due to a massive heart attack.
Mr Kavi Kumar Azad slipped into the coma on Sunday night and this morning breathed his last. After learning about the Mr Azad's death, 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' team has reportedly cancelled the shoot at Film City, Mumbai.
An official statement has also been released by the producer of the show, Asit Kumarr Modi and this is what the statement says, "We are very sad to inform loss of our senior actor Kavi Kumar Azaad. He was playing the character of Dr Hathi in TMKOC. We lost him to a massive cardiac arrest today morning."
The producer of the show also stated that the actor had called him in the morning to tell Asit about his ill health. TMKOC producer added, "He was an amazing actor and a very positive person. He truly loved the show and always came for the shoot even if he was not feeling well. He called today morning that he is not well and will not be able to come for the shoot. And later we got the news that he passed away. We are all too numb to say anything."
Besides television shows, Kavi Kumar Azad was also seen in some movies like “Funtoosh” and “Mela”.
