Anil Kapoor on his kiss with Surveen Chawla and if 24 will ever be made into a film
He is the coolest actor in Bollywood and he knows it. Anil Kapoor, who was last seen in Zoya Akhtar's directorial Dil Dhadakne Do, is currently gearing up to reprise his hit role as supercop Jai Singh Rathore.
Anil Kapoor will be joined by seasoned actors like Sakshi Tanwar, Sapna Pabbi, Sikander Kher, Shabana Azmi and Ronit Roy for the second season of the hit TV series 24.
While the promos of the show have managed to spark interest among the viewers, it is a kiss scene between Anil Kapoor and Surveen Chawla that has managed to set tongues wagging.
When asked to talk about the scene during the promotions of 24, Anil Kapoor said:
"You are playing a character. It's just a job. I don't get nervous. I think we were convinced about it and the channel (Colors) gave us the freedom to do it. So we did it."
When asked if 24 would leave the small screen and be made into a film, he said:
"I don't have the rights to adapt (to a film). 24 is written in such a way that it's difficult to... Creators of 24 (the American TV show) have been trying to make the show into a film. But they have not been able to crack it because the basic concept is 24 hours," added the actor.
24 will be aired on Colors from 22 July.
Meanwhile, Anil has also signed on for an Anees Bazmee's film opposite his nephew Arjun Kapoor.
