With Vivo V9 launch, Aamir Khan to replace Ranveer Singh as the brand ambassador of Vivo

Vivo is planning to come up with its latest smartphone V9. The Chinese smartphone giant has invested heavily to establish its roots in the Indian market and the results are already visible. However, keeping in view the popularity Aamir Khan has garnered through his performances in the films like Dangal, PK and secret superstar and their wide-spread popularity in the Dragon-land. Vivo has switched its brand ambassador from Ranveer Singh to Aamir Khan.


The Thugs of Hindostan star will be promoting the Chinese smartphone brand Vivoin in India, ahead of the Vivo V9 launch on March 23.

Announcing Khan's appointment Vivo took to Twitter March 19. The company tweeted:

"We are thrilled about the possibilities that our partnership with one of the world's biggest superstars, Aamir Khan, will open up for Vivo in India," said Kenny Zeng, Chief Marketing Officer, Vivo India.

This new association will enable us to explore newer avenues to reach our customers as we script our future growth strategy in India," he added.

Aamir, who is currently busy shooting for his upcoming movie Thugs of Hindostan, will be seen in a full-fledged marketing campaign in Vivo's upcoming products and a new TV commercial is already in the works.

“Vivo as a brand embodies the spirit of innovation and meaningful disruption," said Aamir on his new ad-deal.

"Over the years, the brand (Vivo) has been constantly pushing the boundaries of smartphone technology. I am enthused to be a part of Vivo's transformative journey in India," Aamir added.

 

Vivo's rise has been phenomenol in the competitive Indian market and adding Aamir Khan's popularity to the brand with certainly fuel Vivo's business in India and world over.
