Amal Augustine, an engineering student from Kochi, has been basking in the limelight after he sold a domain name to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for a profit of $700.

Augustine traded the registration rights of maxchanzuckerberg.org with Facebook after the social networking giant approached him for the domain name, the Times of India reported. Max is the nickname for Maxime Chan Zuckerberg, Mark Zuckerberg's daughter.

Augustine is a final year electronics student from a Kerala city engineering college. He says that his passion for filing internet domain names has earned him a small profit.

"I have registered quite a few domain names and I have been doing it for some time. I registered this domain name when their (the Zuckerberg's) baby was born last December," said Amal, a student of KMEA engineering college.

At first, GoDaddy approached Augustine for the deal and he asked for a  sum of $700. However, Augustine agreed to the sum when he opened his inbox to find a mail regarding a closing deal from Sara Chapel, manager of Iconic Capital, the firm which handles the financial deals of the Facebook founder.
