England skipper Eoin Morgan said that his side are brimming with confidence and new energy ahead of their World T20 campaign, which starts against west Indies in Mumbai from Wednesday.

The 29-year-old, who believes that England are a different proposition at the moment, said that the T20 format's pinnacle event would provide his side with a great opportunity to showcase their talent, the Guardian reported.

Describing England as a 'developing' side, Morgan called on his side to display smart cricket rather than only depending upon aggressive brand of cricket in the prestigious tournament.

Morgan admitted that the first match against West Indies would not be an easy one, saying that they had a number of dangerous players that could do the job for their side.

However, the left-handed batsman said that if England remain focused and put their best foot forward that they could get a genuine chance to be on the winning side.

Morgan's side will head into the World T20 tournament after claiming comfortable wins over New Zealand and a Mumbai XI in the warm-up matches.
