FIFA World Cup 2018: From Custom kites to miniature trophies, Indian fans are going crazy

With years sports enthusiasts in India have developed the love for football and as FIFA World Cup has started from today in Russia, Fans in India have left no stone unturned to support their favourite team. 

The month-long football championship opened in Moscow stadium with the host country Russia and Saudi Arabia faceoff. 

An Odisha-based miniature artist named L Eswar Rao has created miniature Fifa World Cup 2018 trophy on a pencil and on crayon.

In an interaction with Catch News, Rao said, "Through this, I am sending best wishes to all the teams participating in the tournament."

Another kite maker from Kolkata, Ajit Dutta made customised kites for the World Cup. Dutta said, "With a hope to spread the message of love, I created these colourful kites," Besides, he has made flags of different countries who have made it to the World Cup.

From arranging special screenings, hosting FIFA parties to customising menu on cards, fans are trying to make this World Cup memorable. 

32 national teams from five continents are participating in 2018 Fifa World Cup.
