Oppo's Rs 11,990 smartphone, the A37, to go sale in India on 1 July

Chinese tech-giant Oppo has launched its latest budget-segment smartphone, the A37, in the Indian market. The smartphone, priced at Rs 11,990, was unveiled in Singapore last week. The Oppo A37 will go on sale in India from 1 July.

The Chinese company has attempted to stuff the phone with premium features, including a full-metal body and impressive touch response, all in a phone that weighs just 136 grams. The Oppo A37 is available in gold and grey colour variants.

  • 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor
  • 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB)
  • 8MP main and 5MP front facing camera
  • Runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Oppo's ColorOS 3.0 skinning
  • A 2,630 mAh battery.
  • Supports 4G, Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, and microUSB port connectivity options.
  • The Oppo A37 supports dual SIM - one micro SIM and a Nano SIM.
