Watch: Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendular laud PV Sindhu for making it to Rio Olympics finals

Indian skipper Virat Kohli recorded a congratulatory message for ace badminton player PV Sindhu on 19 August. Kohli showered praise on Sindhu for her historic entry into the final of the badminton women's single event at the Rio Olympics.

Kohli took to Twitter to congratulate Sindhu. Watch:

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendular and Indian batsman Suresh Raina also took to Twitter to congratulate Sindhu for her achievements.

PV Sindhu, ranked 10th in the world, ensured a silver medal for India on 18 August, hours after freestyle wrestler Sakshi Malik captured the bronze in 58 kg women's wrestling category when she outclassed Japan's world no 6 Nozomi Okuhara.

Sindhu defeated her third-seeded Japanese rival, Wang Yihan, the current All England champion, 21-19 21-10 in 49 minutes with superb, attacking play to enter the gold medal clash.
