Why did Sonam Kapoor turn down a role in Baahubali?

Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor, who won both commercial and critical acclaim for her biopic on Neerja Bhanot, turned down a role in the Baahubali franchise.

In a recent appearance on a television show, Sonam Kapoor revealed that she was offered a role in India's biggest blockbuster. She said that she was keen to be a part of the SS Rajamouli fantasy epic and that she had read the script of the film.

She made the revelation on Neha Dhupia's show, No Filter Neha.

However, she refused to divulge the reasons behind her move to turn down Baahubali: The Beginning.

Was Sonam offered Tamannah Bhatia's role or Anushka Shetty's? We'll just have to wait for an official clarification.
