Why did Raai Laxmi replace Catherine Tresa in Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No 150?

Actress Raai Laxmi has replaced her Telugu counterpart Catherine Tresa following her sudden exit from Chiranjeevi's comeback film, Khaidi No 150.

Chiranjeevi's 150th film, produced by actor-turned producer and Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan, is the Telugu remake of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Tamil blockbuster Kaththi.

While the reason behind Catherine's exit has not been revealed, sources said the actress had a tiff with one of the film's technicians who is said to be close to Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. The dispute reportedly halted the shooting on the first day of Catherine's assignment - when she was scheduled to shoot for an item song.

Raai Laxmi has reportedly begun shooting for the item number with Chiranjeevi. The Julie 2 actress also took to Twitter to confirm the news.

Khaidi No 150 is scheduled to hit screens worldwide on 13 January, 2017.
