Vijay 61 : Nithya Menen replaces Jyothika in the Atlee film

Here is a disappointing news for the fans of ​​Jyothika​.​ The South Indian actress, who was expected to make her third collaboration with Ilayathalapathy Vijay in the Atlee film has reportedly backed out of the project.

Jyothika had previously worked with Vijay in hit films like Kushi andThirumalai. Tentatively titled Vijay 61, the action-entertainer​ is also the 100th film of Thenandal Films.

The actual reason for Jyothika's backing out is yet-to-be-revealed​, but there are also reports that the Chandramukhi actress was disappointed with the her role in the Vijay film. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu​ as the leading heroines.​

However, it has been now confirmed that ​Nithya Menen is set to replace ​​Jyothika​'s role in Vijay 61. The film also marks her first collaboration with Ilayathalapathy Vijay​.

Vijay 61 was in news ever since the technicians names were announced. The music of the film has been composed by Oscar winning composer AR Rahman, and the story is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad of Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame.​
