US Box Office: Janatha Garage shatters Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu opening collections
The much awaited Telugu release, Janatha Garage opened with a bang at the US Box Office. The film, starring Mohanlal, Jr NTR, and Unni Mukundan premiered in the US late on 31 August.
It has been confirmed that Janatha Garage has collected USD 5,60,509 from its premiere shows alone.
The Koratala Siva directorial has overtaken the opening premiere numbers of USD 5,37,000 set by his previous film, Mahesh Babu starrer Srimanthudu, from its premiere shows in 2015. The delay in premieres in USA has worked against the film to surpass the collection of 2016's Top Telugu opener, Sardar Gabbar Singh in USA. The sequel to Gabbar Singh has collected USD 6,16,000 at US Box Office.
SS Rajamouli's 2015 blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning still holds the top spot followed by the recent Rajinikanth blockbuster, Kabali.
