Telugu superstar Ram Charan's Rangasthalam was released on 27 March to positive response from the critics and audience alike. Directed by Sukumar and bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, the period drama stars Ram Charan in the titular role of a partially deaf person Chitti Babu and Samantha as the main female lead.

"Just saw Rangasthalam. Hats off to you Charan. You truly deserve all the applause and accolades you are getting. Take one from me too. No one could have done it better. #Respect," the Jai Lava Kusa actor tweeted.
"Kudos to director Sukumar garu for his gutsy and brilliant direction. Takes courage to stay true to the vision of making a raw and rustic emotional period drama. Hats off to you sir," Jr.NTR added.
