Friday saw the release of Nikhil Siddharth's Kirrak Party at the Telugu Box Office. The campus entertainer, an official remake of Rakshit Shetty's Kannada blockbuster Kirrik Party marked the Telugu acting debut of Simran Pareenja and Samyuktha Hegde. While Samyuktha Hegde reprises her role from the original film, Simran Pareenja starred in Rashmika Mandanna's role from Kirrik Party.

As expected, Kirrak Party opened to positive response from the audience and critics alike. The film had minted nearly Rs. 6 crore worldwide on its opening to emerge the biggest opener of Nikhil's career. The film showed strong hold in Saturday and Sunday as well and had crossed the Rs. 12 crore mark at the Box Office.

Also, the pre-release business of the film including Telugu-Hindi satellite rights, audio, DVD and digital rights is said to be clocked more than Rs. 5 crore. And with the opening week's share, Kirrak Party has already entered the profit-zone for it's makers.

Directed by Rishab Shetty and jointly produced by G.S. Guptha and Rakshit Shetty, Kirrik Party was released on December 29 2016. Upon its release, Kirik Party, which had made for a budget of Rs. 4 crore went on to become the surprise blockbuster of the year by collecting more than Rs. 50 crore from the box office worldwide.
