Tamil Nadu Box Office: Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal is now only behind these two all-time blockbusters in the list of highest grossers

Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal is completing one week of its theatrical release at the Tamil Nadu Box Office. Though the film had to face a lot of criticism within its opening weekend, it hasn't stopped the Thalapathy starrer to become a big money spinner at the Box Office.

On its 5-day opening weekend, Mersal had minted a massive Rs 75 crore at the Tamil Nadu Box Office. The Vijay film also crossed the lifetime collections of Rajinikanth blockbuster Kabali, Ajith's Vivegam and Vijay's 2016 blockbuster Theri as well. Mersal is now third highest grosser in Tamil Nadu and is only behind all time blockbusters, Baahubali 2 and Enthiran in list of highest grossers in the state.

Directed by Atlee and produced by Sri Thenandal Films, Mersal starred Thalapathy Vijay in triple roles. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha and Nithya Menen.
