Sardaar Gabbar Singh Box Office: Pawan Kalyan film fails to live up to the hype

Last week's release, Telugu film Sardaar Gabbar Singh has hit rock bottom at the Box Office in it's second weekend. Directed by KS Ravindra and produced by Pawan Kalyan, Sharath Maraar and Sunil Lulla - under their banners Pawan Kalyan Creative Works, Northstar Entertainment and Eros International - the film is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster, Gabbar Singh.

On it's opening day, Sardaar Gabbar Singh set the Box Office on fire with an earth shattering collection of Rs 21 crore. However, from the second day onwards, it dropped drastically everywhere. After a decent opening week collection of Rs 44 crore, the film lost it's steam at the Box Office.

The poor script and negative reviews worked against the film as it collected merely Rs 5.50 crore on it's second weekend, taking it's total to Rs 49.50 crore. The Pawan Kalyan starrer was expected to touch the Rs 100 crore mark in the opening week itself, but it is struggling big time at the Box Office. The film has not even touched the Rs 50 crore mark at the Box Office after a 10- day theatrical run.

The disappointing second weekend indicates that film will find it tough to put up decent numbers in the coming weekdays.

Another biggie, Allu Arjun's Sarrainodu is set to hit the screens on 22 April, which means Sardar Gabbar Singh will finish it's disappointing theatrical run in two weeks.
