Shankar's upcoming film 2.0 (Enthiran 2, Robot 2) is touted to be the most expensive film to be made in India. According to reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 350 crores. The sequel to Enthiran stars Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson in the lead, with Akshay Kumar playing the antagonist.
The director, Shankar, is currently shooting a sequence for a football match featuring the two superstars at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
And according to the latest updates, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan will be playing special cameos in the film.
The father-son duo were spotted on the sets of 2.0 in the National Capital. A source close to the film confirmed that the film's football match sequence would be a match between Chennai and Mumbai team in Indian Football League.
Abhishek Bachchan will reportedly play the owner of the Chennai team while Big B will be seen cheering on his son's team.
Renowned Hollywood action directors, Kenny Bates and Aaron Crippen - who had previously teamed up in 2011 for Transformers: Dark Of The Moon - have been roped in to choreograph the film's action sequences.
The VFX of the film will be helmed by John Hughes, of Life Of Pi fame, while AR Rahman has been roped in for the music of the much-anticipated sci-fi flick.
Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, chairman and founder of Lyca Mobile/Productions, 2.0 will release simultaneously in both Tamil and Hindi in 2017.
