Ram Charan's Dhruva strikes gold as Vizag, Ceded rights sold at record prices

Ram Charan's Dhruva is a month away from its release but the film has already begun minting money for its producer, Allu Aruvind.

The film, written and directed by Surender Reddy, is an official remake of 2015 Tamil blockbuster Thani Oruvan.

Sources have revealed that the Vizag and Ceded theatrical rights of Dhruva have been sold for record prices to a popular distributor. The Vizag shares were sold for Rs 5.40 crores while the Ceded rights have been sold for a whopping Rs 9 crores.

The original version, Thani Oruvan was a huge hit in Telangana. Dhruva will see Ram Charan essay the role played by Jayam Ravi in the original while Rakul Preet Singh will reprise Nayanthara's role in the film.The film also stars Aravind Swami, who will reprise the antagonist role he played in Thani Oruvan.

Dhruva is slated to release on 7 October 2016.
