Rajinikanth's Kabali becomes top-grossing Tamil film at US Box Office

Rajinikanth starrer Kabali released barely three days ago in the US, but the film has already crossed the $3 million mark at the Box Office. The Thalaiva film seems to be unaffected by its mixed reviews as Kabali is enjoying a rock steady run. By the end of day 3, the Ranjith directorial minted $ 3,148,641 and emerged as the top Tamil grosser at the US Box Office.

Here are the day-wise break up details:

Day 1 (Premieres) : $ 1,925,379

Day 2 (Friday) : $ 721,262

Day 3 (Saturday) : $ 502,000

Total = $ 3,148,641

Kabali has also surpassed the lifetime collections of Mahesh Babu blockbuster Srimanthudu, to become the second highest grossing South Indian film after SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Beginning. The film is expected to cross $ 3.75- 4 million by the end of the opening weekend.
