Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who will turn 66 on 12 December 12, has requested his fans to avoid celebrating his birthday this year. The actor also requested his fans not to put up his posters and banners on his birthday.

Rajinikanth's manager, Riaz Ahmed took to his Twitter account to share the Thalaivar's request to his fans.

This is what Riaz tweeted;

Reportedly, Rajinikanth has taken this decision as a mark of respect to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa who passed away earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is busy shooting the final portions of his upcoming-magnum opus with Shankar, 2.0. The film also marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.
