R Madhavan's Saala Khadoos star Ritika Singh bags Vijay Setupathi's Aandavan Kattalai

Ritika Singh, who made her grand debut with Tamil-Hindi bilingual film Irudhi Suttru (Saala Khadoos) has been finalised as the female lead opposite Vijay Sethu for the upcoming film Aaandavan Kattalai.

The film will be directed by M Manikandan, whose last outing Kakka Muttai was a Box Office super hit that went on to win two national awards in 2015.

According to reports, Manikandan watched Irudhi Suttru and was impressed with Ritika's performance in the film. The director was keen on casting a new face for Aaandavan Kattalai and Ritika, who has been trained in martial arts, seemed to be the perfect choice.

Aaandavan Kattalai will be produced by GN Anbu Chezhiyan under the banner of Gopuram Films. The film is touted to be a complete family entertainer with a twist. The rest of the cast is yet to be announced. The shooting of the film is scheduled to begin on 7 March.
