Mohanlal's record-breaking film, Oppam, is still running to packed houses at the Kerala Box Office, but the Malayalam superstar is busy with his next release, Pulimurugan, which is all set to hit the screens this Friday, 7 October. And the good news for the makers and Lalettan fans are that the film has bagged a clean 'U' certificate from the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) without any cuts.

According to our source, the run-time of Pulimurugan is 2-hour 37-minutes long. The film is planning to release on a huge number of 325 screens across India, including 160 screens in Kerala and 165 screens in non-Kerala-states.

Directed by Vyshak and produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam, Pulimurugan is touted as the costliest Malayalam film to be made till date. The film's budget is reportedly a whopping Rs 18 crore. The action-entertainer also stars Kamalini Mukherjee, Namitha, Jagapatti Babu and Lal.

Pulimurugan will be Mohanlal's third release within a span of 37 days after the blockbusters Janatha Garage and Oppam. The two-time-National-award-winner has lost as much as 6 kg to portray the character of a wild hunter in the film. The superstar performed all his stunts himself, including some high voltage fight sequences with a real tiger. Most of the scenes were shot in Vietnam, a first for a Malayalam film.
