Priyadarshan to remake ​​Maheshinte Prathikaram​ in Tamil with ​​​​Udhayanidhi Stalin​ and Namitha Pramod​​

Ace director Priyadarshan is all set to remake the the 2016 national award winning Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaram in Tamil soon. The film, a comedy-drama which tells the revenge story of a photographer. This role was originally portrayed by Malayalam actor Fahad Faasil. Directed by Dileesh Pothan and produced by Aashiq Abu, Maheshinte Prathikaram was the first time Aparna Balamurali played the lead role. The film also featured Anusree, Alencier Ley Lopez, Soubin Shahir, K. L. Antony Kochi, Lijimol Jose and Sujith Shankar.

Priyadarshan confirmed the news about the Tamil remake of Maheshinte Prathikaram. The veteran director has roped in Tamil actor Udhayanidhi Stalin and Malayalam actress Namitha Pramod to essay the roles of Fahad Faasil and Aparna Balamurali in the Tamil remake. MS Bhaskar will be playing the role of Baby Chettan essayed by Alencier Ley Lopez in its original.

The yet-to-be-titled film will be bankrolled by Santhosh Nair under his banner Moonshot Entertainment while cinematography by NK Ekambaram of Priyadarshan,Mohanlal's Oppam fame. The film is expected to start rolling from July 15.
