Popular Malayalam director Priyadarshan is all set to start his 91st directorial soon. The Bollywood film will see the National-award winning maker's favourite star Akshay Kumar as the male lead. Earlier, there were reports that the Bhool Bhulaiyya director-actor duo's film got shelved due to the Bollywood Khiladi's back-to-back releases in 2017.

And now, if Malayalam media reports are to be believed, Akshay Kumar has given his nod to Priyadarshan film, which is scheduled to start in April 2017. The super hit director-actor duo has so far collaborated six times in Bollywood and all of them have been commercial hits at the Box Office. Interestingly, 4 out of 6 films have been the remakes of Malayalam superstar, Mohanlal films.

And this time around too, Priyadarshan is not interested to experiment in Bollywood as the director will be reportedly remaking his 1994 Lalettan hit Minnaram with Akshay Kumar. The original film, a romantic-tragedy, also starred Late legendary actor Thilakan, Shobana and Jagathy Sreekumar in strong roles.

An official announcement on film's title and rest of the cast are expected to be out soon.
