Malayalam actor Mohanlal's Onam release Velipadinte Pusthakam has completed one month of its theatrical release at the Kerala Box Office. The film, which was released on 31 August, has been directed by Lal Jose and bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor.

Though Velipadinte Pusthakam opened to mixed reviews from the critics, it hasn't affected the film's collections at the Box Office. Upon its release, the Mohanlal starrer had to face stiff competition from other 3 Onam releases, but the film overpowered the other releases by minting more than Rs. 11 crore in just a few theatrical days itself. The song 'Jimikki kammal' from the film has worked wonders for the film to attract the audience to cinemas as well. Velipadinte Pusthakam is also the first film among 2017 Onam releases to complete 10,000 shows in Kerala.

Interestingly, Velipadinte Pusthakam is Lalettan's straight fourth Onam hit. The Malayalam superstar's previous three Onam releases, Peruchazhi - 2014, Loham - 2015, Oppam - 2016 were Box Office hits as well.

Velipadinte Pusthakam marks fifth straight successful venture for Antony Perumbavoor after the Mohanlal starrers Drishyam, Ennum Eppozhum, Loham and Oppam.

Velipadinte Pusthakam also marks the second film for the stars of Angamaly Diaries, Reshma Rajan and Sarath Kumar.
