Odiyan : Mohanlal - Antony Perumbavoor's 24th film announced, Manju warrier bags female lead

After the success of Oppam, Malayalam actor Mohanlal and film producer Antony Perumbavoor are all set to team up for a new film. The film titled Odiyan will mark the directorial debut of ad film-maker Shrikumar Menon and will be bankrolled under Ashirvad Cinemas.

Mohanlal took to his Facebook page to announce the film.

"Announcing my next project Odiyan. The movie, guaranteed to be a visual treat is produced by Antony Perumbavoor in the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. The movie also prides itself as the directorial debut of famed advt director Shrikumar. Manju Warrier takes up the female lead role in Odiyan. National Award winning scriptwriter Harikrishnan have written the script for the movie. Production design will be done by Sabu Cyril while Shaji Kumar will be seen behind the camera of Odiyan".

Lalettan also shared a pic with the team members of Odiyan.

Reportedly, Odiyan will be made with VFX works to be done by Hollywood technicians. There are also reports that Odiyan will feature one Bollywood superstar along with Mohanlal. The details and the rest of the cast are expected to be announced soon.

Meanwhile, Odiyan marks the 24th collaboration of Mohanlal and Antony Perumbavoor. The actor-producer duo earlier delivered many blockbuster films including Narasimham, Ravanaprabhu, Naran, Spirit, Drishyam and the 2016 Onam release Oppam.

Odiyan will start rolling from May 25.
