Mohanlal's upcoming film Odiyan is slated to hit the floors in the second week of August. The film, tipped to be a black magic thriller, will mark the directorial debut of ad-filmmaker VA Shrikumar Menon. Written by national award winner Harikrishnan Kornath, Odiyan also stars Prakash Raj and Manju Warrier.
VA Shrikumar had earlier stated that his debut film will be about black magic and the people who practices it, who are known as Odiyans.
And on Tuesday, in an interview to a Malayalam daily, he had revealed the character details of Lalettan in Odiyan.
"Mohanlal, who is essaying the titular role of Odiyan Manikyan will be seen sporting multiple looks in Odiyan from the age of 30 to 65. He is a terrific athlete, who is also mastered in Odividya. He can run on four legs and jump higher than normal people. Mohanlal will be seen doing stylish stunts in Odiyan, which will be choreographed by Peter Hein," he said.
Odiyan will have art direction by Sabu Cyril and music from M Jayachandran.
