Not ​​Sonakshi Sinha or Rakul Preet, Vijay to pair up with his Bairavaa co-star Keerthy Suresh in AR Murgadoss' Thalapathy 62

It's known that Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay and hit director AR Murugadoss have teamed up for the third time after the blockbuster success of Thuppakki and Kaththi. The film, tentatively titled Vijay 62 (62nd film of Vijay), will be jointly bankrolled by Sun Pictures and Lyca Productions.

Earlier, many media reported Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and South actress Rakul Preet Singh as the strong contenders to essay the female in the Tamil superstar film.

However, on Wednesday the makers have officially announced the leading lady of their upcoming film and it's none other than Keerthy Suresh. Thalapathy 62 also marks the second collaboration of Vijay-Keerthy duo after the 2017 hit Bairavaa.

AR Rahman, who had composed music of Vijay's previous release, the blockbuster Mersal has been finalized as the music composer of the film.
