No more Baahubali 2 vs Enthiran 2? Box Office clash averted
The combined budget ofBaahubali 2: The conclusion and Enthiran 2: 2.0is a whopping Rs 550 crore.
Previous reports claimed that both films would clash in the summer of 2017. The news came as a shock for the film fraternity as such a high-budget clash would translate into a loss for either one camp.
While SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 is jointly produced by K Raghavendra Rao, Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, the Shankar-directorial Enthiran 2 is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah - the chairman and founder of Lyca Mobile/Productions.
However, according to the latest update, Lyca Productions plans to release the Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar film during Diwali 2017. This means that Baahubali 2, the sequel to the 2015-blockbuster Baahubali : The Beginning, will get a solo release on 14 April 2017.
Baahubali 2 : The conclusion stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj and Tamannaah Bhatia as main leads while the sequel to 2010 blockbuster Enthiran, Enthiran 2 : 2.0, stars Amy Jackson.
