National Award-winning director Priyadarshan recently revealed that he is planning a Hindi remake of the Mohanlal blockbuster Oppam, which was a huge hit at the Kerala Box Office. The film has so far raked in more than Rs 20 crore from two-weeks of its theatrical release.

In a recent interview to a leading daily Priyadarshan said he is not doing a Oppam remake with his favorite Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, but plans to cast either Shah Rukh Khan or Aamir Khan to reprise Mohanlal's role in the original. The Hera Pheri director also added that he had requested both SRK and Aamir to watch Oppam.

Priyadarshan was quoted as saying:

"I'm definitely doing the Hindi remake of Oppam. But not with Akshay Kumar. I want to cast either Shah Rukh Khan or Aamir Khan. I have requested both the Khans to watch the film. If they are interested then I have to take a call. Who is available and who suits the role of Mohanlal in Hindi. If they are not interested then I may do it with somebody else. So I'm waiting for their response."
