Mohanlal to team up with Shaji Kailas and Renji Panicker for Aashirvad Cinemas' next

It's known that Antony Perumbavoor will be producing the upcoming film of Mohanlal starrer, Lucifer under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas. Written by Murali Gopi, the film marks the directorial debut of young Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Earlier Catch had reported that Antony Perumbavoor announced the commencement date of Lucifer along with Mohanlal, Prithviraj and Murali Gopi at Lalettan's residence.

During the media interaction, Antony Perumbavoor also added that he will be producing another film with Mohanlal after Lucifer. He also added that the film will be directed by Shaji Kailas and will have script by Renji Panicker.

The news came as a huge surprise for the Mohanlal fans as the Malayalam superstar had earlier collaborated with Shaji Kailas for many successful films. In fact, most of Shaji Kailas blockbusters Aaram Thamburan, Narasimham, Natturajavu and Baba Kalyani featured Mohanlal in lead role.

The film also marks the return of Renji Panicker, one of the most celebrated Malayalam script writers and his first collaboration with Mohanlal. His last release as script writer was the 2008 Mammooty starrer Roudram.

Meanwhile, the second schedule of Aashirvad Cinemas' upcoming release Villain is currently progressing in Kochi. The film stars Mohanlal as Mathew Manjooran, a retired police officer.
