Mathew Manjooran is unique, it's a first time role for me - Mohanlal about his role in Villain

Malayalam actor Mohanlal's upcoming film Villain is slated to be released soon. The film, tipped to be an action thriller, has been directed by B Unnikrishnan and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. Villain stars Manju Warrier in the female lead and also marks the Malayalam outing of Tamil actors Vishal, Hansika and Telugu stars Srikanth and Raashi Khanna.

The audio launch of Villain was held recently in Kochi. During the event Lalettan stated that Mathew Manjooran, the role he has portrayed in Villain is unique and is also his first time in his 30-year-Malayalam film career.

"Mathew Manjooran is one of the most unique characters of my acting career. It is a character with a lot of specialties. I haven't done such roles in my career. Mathew Manjooran is a first time role in my career" (SIC).

Catch had previously stated that the Malayalam superstar is essaying a retired police officer in Villain.

Mohanlal also welcomed Rockline Venkatesh and his banner Rockline Productions to Malayalam film industry during his speech. Villain is the maiden Malayalam production venture of Rockline Venkatesh, who had bankrolled Rajinikanth's Lingaa and Salman Khan blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Villain is scheduled to hit the screens worldwide on October.
