The official launch of Mohanlal's upcoming film Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham was held in Cochin on Saturday. Apart from Lalettan, the star-studded launch was attended by film's director Priyadarshan, producers Antony Perumbavoor, Dr. Roy CJ and Santhosh T Kuruvilla along with Odiyan director V.A. Shrikumar Menon as well.

While the remaining cast and crew details of Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham are yet-to-be-announced, Catch brings you some interesting updates about the Mohanlal- Priyadarshan film.

1) Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham marks the 95th directorial outing of Priyadarshan.

2) Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham will be the 41st association between Mohanlal and Priyadarshan. Most of the actor-director duo's films have been huge hits at the Box Office. In fact most of their blockbusters were remade in Bollywood with top Bollywood stars including Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Akshaye Khanna. Bollywood films like Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhaag, Kyonki, Khatta Meetha were the remakes of Mohanlal - Priyadarshan blockbusters. The blockbuster duo's previous release Oppam went on to become a huge blockbuster at the Box Office worldwide.

3) Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham is the 25th film to be bankrolled by Antony Prumbavoor under his home banner Aashirvad Cinemas and 24th film which stars Mohanlal in the main lead role. Antony Perumbavoor's first film of 2018, Panav Mohanlal's debut film Aadhi too went on to become the highest grosser of the year as well.

4) Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham marks Ashirvad Cinema's third association with Priyadarshan after Kilichundan Mampazham and Oppam.
