Dulquer Salmaan, the son of legendary actor Mammootty and the current heartthrob of South Indian cinema, is all set to make his Bollywood debut soon.

The un-titled film also marks the directorial debut of Akarsh Khurana, the writer of Ranbir Kapoor's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and 2 States fame. Mithila Palkar from the popular web series, Girl In The City and Little Things, will portray the female lead in the film.

The makers had earlier decided to cast Abhishek Bachchan, but the actor backed out from the film citing dates clash with his upcoming film, JP Dutta's Paltan.

The film is said to be a light-hearted comedy and will see both Irfan and Dulquer as friends on a road trip.

Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan's upcoming film, Solo is slated to be released in September.
