The most-awaited Malayalam film of the year, Mohanlal starrer Villain is slated to release on Friday. The action entertainer, directed by B Unnikrishnan, is also the first Malayalam production venture of Rockline Venkatesh, the maker of Rajinikanth's Lingaa and Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Though the film is four days away from its theatrical release, the advance booking of the film have already started in most of the cinemas across the Kerala.

And much to the delight of the makers, the tickets of Villain sold out in under 24 hours as the advance booking of the film opened with a bang. The hype for the film is so huge that it won't be a surprise if the film opens better than the all-time opener at the Kerala Box Office, Baahubali 2. The trailer, which had released recently has worked wonders for the film.

Apart from Mohanlal, Villain also stars Manju Warrier, Tamil actors Vishal and hansika and Telugu stars Raashi Khanna and Srikanth.
