Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's Wednesday release SPYder has emerged as a Box Office disaster in Kerala. The film, which opened to on an average note on its opening day struggled to pick up throughout its opening week.

SPYder was released amidst humongous expectations, but sank without any trace in its second day itself across the cinemas of Kerala. Despite becoming the second biggest Malayalam Dubbing release, SPYder has managed to gross nearly Rs. 1.50 crore in 7 theatrical days in Kerala. The massive response to the Malayalam film Dileep starrer Ramaleela and the Box Office clash with other three Malayalam releases has worked against the film.

SPyder also emerged as the third biggest disaster of 2017 in Kerala after Shah Rukh Khan's Jab Harry Met Sejal and Thala Ajith's Vivegam. There are also reports that distributors and theatre owners have already started demanding compensation for their heavy losses occurred due to the Mahesh Babu starrer.
