Lijo Jose Pellissery's fifth Malayalam directorial, Angamaly Diaries has released today. The film also marks the debut of actor Chemban Vinod Jose as a scenarist and the independent production venture of actor-producer Vijay Babu, after his split from production house Friday Films. Angamaly Diaries stars Chemban Vinod Jose in lead role along with 86 new comers in important roles, which is a first for Malayalam cinema.

Angamaly Diaries tells the story of local people and their life at a place called Angamaly, located in Cochin district in Kerala.

Angamaly Diaries opened on a decent note at the Kerala Box Office and has picked up tremendously from the matinee shows,  thanks to word-of-mouth publicity. Early Friday trends suggest positive reports all across Kerala and Angamaly Diaries might be the first surprise Malayalam hit of 2017.
