Kayamkulam Kochunni: Mohanlal joins Nivin Pauly in Roshan Andrews' period film

From the past few days, many media reported that Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will be playing an important role in Nivin Pauly’s upcoming film, Kayamkulam Kochunni. The film, tipped to be a period film has been directed by Roshan Andrews and bankrolled by Gokulam Gopalan.

And now, it has been confirmed that Lalettan is indeed a part of Kayamkulam Kochunni.

Nivin Pauly took to his Facebook page to confirm the update.

"And It’s confirmed!!! The charismatic Lalettan is joining the cast of Kayamkulam Kochunni for a role that can only be performed by the Complete Actor himself!! The entire cast and crew is absolutely delighted & thrilled to share the working space alongside him. This is truly a dream come true moment!!!", the Premam actor quoted.

Mohanlal will be seen portraying the role of Ithikara Pakki, who is known to be a close friend of Kayamkulam Kochunni. The role is said to be an extended cameo in the film.

The film, written by National award winning writer-duo Bobby and Sanjay is based on the famous highwayman Kayamkulam Kochunni, who was active in the 19th century in Travancore. The film stars Priya Anand in the female lead.
