After the blockbuster Ennu Ninte Moideen in 2015, actor Prithviraj Sukumaran and director RS Vimal are joining hands once again for their second project titled Karnan. The film will be a bilingual project and will be simultaneously released in Malayalam and Tamil. Karnan is expected to be a whopping Rs 45 crore film produced by Venu Kunnappilly under the banner of Kavya Films, thus becoming the costliest film ever made in Mollywood.

The film narrates the story of Karnan, including his youth, his estranged relationship with his mother and his love story. Prithviraj essays the lead role. Reportedly, the film will also have popular stars from the Tamil film industry and Bollywood.

The actor-director duo's previous film Ennu Ninte Moideen is the second biggest blockbuster in Malayalam cinema. The critically acclaimed film also won the actor-director duo most of the best actor - best director awards this year.
