Jr NTR completes 15 years in Tollywood; gears up for release of Janatha Garage

Telugu superstar Jr NTR has finally completed 15 years in the Tollywood industry. Born as Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the actor is the grandson of veteran Telugu actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, NT Rama Rao .

Jr NTR made his acting debut in Ninnu Choodalani, which released on 25 May 2001 and failed to set the Box Office registers ringing. But the superstar made a terrific comeback with his second outing - Student No 1, a super hit at the Box Office. The film also marked the debut of Baahubali director, SS Rajamouli in Telugu cinema. The actor's 2002 release Aadi was also a huge success.

Jr NTR has achieved superstar status with the blockbuster Simhadri in 2003 which was also directed by SS Rajamouli. The film ran more than 200 days at the cinemas, establishing Jr NTR as a superstar and Rajamouli as a hitmaker in Tollywood. The actor's recently released films Temper and 2016 release Nannaku Prematho were also hits at the Box Office.

The Telugu superstar is currently shooting for his upcoming multi-starrer film Janatha Garage, with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. The official first look of the film was met with an outstanding response from the audience.
